Good evening world!
Lots that happened as of late. Let's start with Saturday, shall we?
Our dance studio had some master classes by Nick Lazzarini and Cindy Salgado (sp? not sure xD). Unfortunately, Nick's got postponed to this Saturday, but I went to one of Cindy's anyway.
Uh...I thought I went to contemporary. But I think the order of the classes were switched or something...I think I accidentally went to modern instead ^-^" Oh well. Still great! Thank you to all the ones involved in the classes!
On Sunday, I went to see RENT ON TOUR IN SAN FRANCISCO WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Haha, sorry, I'm still on a Rent-high :3 God, I'd been singing the songs (despite my horrible voice) for days and I finally got there and damn, was it amazing! When I walked in, I saw the stage and it was absolutely jaw-dropping. You always see these things in picture and video, but the real thing is so breathtaking! The huge structures and platforms in the set were really cool and it was almost as though it would swallow you whole.
My seats were in row E, so I had a pretty good view of the actors. I really couldn't believe it when I saw Anthony Rapp (who played Mark) walk on stage. It just didn't really hit me that I was seeing this production in person until maybe the middle of Act I. I've been a fan of Ret for years, but never got the chance to see the musical live. And seeing it with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal was really just...awesome. Man, I feel like I'm repeating myself, haha.
But anyway, continuing on. I loved everyone's performance, of course, but what really stood out to me was Nicolette Hart's Maureen. I could just tell she's such a character. She played Maureen so funny and quirky, I loved it! "Over the Moon" was great. So much fun to moo :3 Another pair I thought was cool was Mimi and Roger. Mimi, I think, was played by understudy Trisha Jeffrey. They were so cute! I always listened to "Light My Candle" instead of watching on YouTube or whatever, so it was a great experience to see how funny and awkward they were, especially Roger

And so that was my birthday present. Right after we came back from San Francisco, I had to go to homecoming practice for girl's dance. We had another practice this morning, from five to seven. I came at six (no way I could've woken up any earlier and survived the wrath of my mother; she wakes up whenever I walk past her door), but I heard people had been there before five! Dedication is amazing, you guys! We performed today; our theme this year is Shrek. Though I kinda wished we had Mulan. Either way, we would've had a perfect voice for either Donkey or Mushu

Prince Charming was gre-eat, too! xD
Editing soon~
